KeepTek UNIVERSAL
DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION
KeepTek® Universal is a composite nonwoven material with high efficient sound-absorbing properties and an increased thermal insulation coefficient. It is used in the limited space of the vehicle, where the application of several types of insulation is not possible. The KeepTek® Universal surface is additionally reinforced with abrasion-resistant material.
It is used for thermal and acoustic insulation of air ducts under the panels, ceiling, door panels, etc. The material is easy to compress and restore, does not break at minimal weight. This material is suitable for passenger and luggage compartments, especially for vertical surfaces.

PATTERN AND PROPERTIES
The basis of the material consists of polyester synthetic fibers blend. Polyester microfibers provide high sound absorption at minimal weight. Special additives in the material reduce its thermal conductivity.
The material is water-resistant, does not absorb moisture. KeepTek® UN can be used in a humid environment. The risk of mold, fungus or odor formation is reduced to zero.
KeepTek® UN can be comfortably attached to the parts with using ultrasonic welding or spot thermal bonding. Using mechanical fasteners and transfer tapes or special adhesives for nonwovens can be easily added if necessary. For easy attachment one side of the material can be covered with adhesive layer with a protective liner additionally by customer's request.
