KeepTek HEAVY DUTY
DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE OF APPLICATION
KeepTek® Heavy duty is a nonwoven material with high efficient sound-absorbing and thermal insulation properties. The Heavy duty series is characterized by increased surface density with small thickness for better protection against mechanical impact. Both sides of the KeepTek Heavy duty surface is coated with black lining material that protects against abrasion.
KeepTek® Heavy duty is suitable for thermal and noise insulation of door panels, floor, meter panels. This material has proven it self when used in the passenge randluggage compartments, especially for soundproofing the floor and wheel arches.

PATTERN AND PROPERTIES
The basis of the material consists of polyester synthetic fibers blend. Polyester microfibers provide high sound absorption at minimal weight.
The material is water-resistant, does not absorb moisture. KeepTek® FL can be used in a humid environment. The risk of mold, fungus or odor formation is reduced to zero.
KeepTek® HD can be comfortably attached to the parts with using ultrasonic welding or spot thermal bonding. Using mechanical fasteners and transfer tapes or special adhesives for nonwovens can be easily added if necessary. For easy attachment one side of the material can be covered with adhesive layer with a protective liner additionally by customer's request.
